PTC is a non-governmental, non-profit organization and international community of more than 3,400 member representatives from over 40 countries. PTC members span a variety of industry, academic, and government sectors worldwide and are dedicated to promoting the understanding and beneficial use of telecommunications and ICT throughout the Pacific region, including the Americas, Asia, Oceania, and the Pacific Islands.
The Council has a Pacific region focus, yet is global in nature, embracing members from all countries that play a role or have an interest in the development of telecommunications and ICT in the Asia-Pacific region.
PTC membership is open to any person or entity worldwide with professional interests in the Pacific region pertaining to telecommunications, information technology, or related fields.
For-Profit: For-profit entities are organizations that are commercial (i.e., for-profit) in nature.
Non-Profit: Non-profit entities are organizations that are officially designated as such within their state or country of origin. Examples include government ministries and departments, educational institutions, foundations, international organizations, associations and charities. Public or parastatal corporations such as PTTs are not considered non-profit entities.
Individual: Individual membership is restricted to professional researchers, academics, and retired telecommunications professionals who have made a notable contribution to the field. This category applies to a very limited number of applicants.
Affiliate: Affiliate membership is restricted to organizations that are unable to become full PTC members due to their bylaws or similar restrictions. Affiliate members may enjoy all benefits of membership except for voting in PTC elections and holding office.
Student: Student membership is restricted to bona fide full-time students.

The membership year begins on 1 February and ends on 31 January of the following year.

Your first invoice will be for a full year's dues; your second invoice will be for a prorated amount to cover the period from your anniversary date to 31 January of the next year. Membership applications received on or after the Wednesday before the annual conference may not be processed until the conclusion of the event.
Annual membership is automatically renewed and dues invoices are mailed in November. Resignation or removal shall not affect the obligation of the member to pay the annual dues for the expired portion of the fiscal year in which the resignation or removal occurs.
