Senior Director, Network Architecture & Engineering, Time Warner Cable
John Sweeting is the Senior Director, Network Architecture & Engineering at Time Warner Cable. His teams are responsible for establishing architecture standards, design configurations and providing documentation for all TWC networks and data centers. They test and validate all networking hardware, software and configurations. The Planning & Strategy team is responsible for all high level strategy and negotiating all interconnections for AS 7843.
John has over 25 years of experience in engineering networks. Previous to Time Warner Cable he worked for international carriers, MCI, Cable & Wireless and Teleglobe (Tata Communications) building out global IP networks. John previously served on the ARIN Advisory Council (AC) from 2000- 2005. He rejoined the ARIN AC in 2008 and has served as the AC Chair for the past 6 years. He was selected by ARIN to serve on the Coordinated RIR IANA Stewardship Proposal (CRISP) team in November 2014.
