Dr. F. Barry Brown is Professor Emeritus and former Head of the Department of Curriculum Studies in the College of Education, University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. He is an instructor and consultant in organization and administration of electronic learning spaces, television production, educational technology, communications, telehealth, distance learning, computers, educational telecommunications, and instructional development. Dr. Brown was an administrator and teacher at the University from 1964 until retirement in 2007.
Dr. Brown served in many roles, including Chief Television Engineer, Director of the Division of Audiovisual Services, Head of the Department of Communications, Continuing and Vocational Education, and Coordinator of Instructional Support Services, and Chair of the University of Saskatchewan Academic Support Committee for the Division of Media and Technology, Information Technology Services, and University Library.
His hobby is beekeeping, beginning in 1973 with two hives and currently operates 800 beehives. Barry continues to teach photography, television production and creates photographs for beekeeping presentations and demonstrations. He produces honey, mead and beeswax candles.
