Director-General, International Affairs, Global ICT Strategy Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC)
Mr. Kiyoshi Mori has been Director-General for International Affairs, Global ICT Strategy Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) since 2014. In his current position, he promotes international cooperation and international dialogue on both a bi-lateral and multi-lateral basis in the ICT field.
After joining the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI, currently abbreviated as METI) in 1986, he mainly dealt with trade issues and energy issues for over twenty years in director level positions for International Energy Affairs, Middle East and Africa, Energy Resources and Trade Finance, and Deputy DG for Trade and Economic Cooperation in METI. He also served as a Guest Scholar at the Economic Studies of the Brookings Institution, and as a member of the Governing Board at the International Energy Agency.
Mr. Mori holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and an LL.B. from the Department of Law, University of Tokyo.
