Mark Ayers manages internal and external customer requests for satellite, microwave and other radio frequency engineering and technical services at GCI.
Mark has 15 years of engineering experience, with 10 years practicing as a licensed Professional Engineer. He serves as an adjunct professor of engineering at the University of Alaska in Anchorage. Mark has been recognized as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Alaska Section Outstanding Engineer of the Year, the IEEE Section 6 (Northwest) Outstanding Engineer of the Year, is recipient of an Alaska Journal of Commerce’s Top 40 under 40, and nominee of Anchorage Engineer's Week Engineer of the Year. Mark is also the author of the textbook Telecommunications System Reliability Engineering, Theory and Practice, published by Wiley / IEEE Press.
Mark has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
