Director, Structured Finance & Insurance Department, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)
Mr. Alexander Hadden is a Director with the Structured Finance & Insurance Department at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the U.S. Government’s development finance institution. OPIC mobilizes private capital to help solve critical development challenges and in doing so, advances U.S. foreign policy.
In his current role, Mr. Hadden originates and underwrites project finance, commercial finance and risk sharing frameworks for investments in emerging markets. Most recently, he has been active underwriting investments in mobile and fixed broadband operators in Latin America and South Asia. Previously, with OPIC’s Investment Funds Department, he monitored the performance of OPIC financing for private equity funds, including investments in East African telecommunications. Prior to joining OPIC, Mr. Hadden was a capacity building specialist with the public-private partnership (PPP) unit at Tetra Tech Inc.
He received his master’s degree from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.
