Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Technology and Internet Policy, U.S. Department of State
Manu is a Senior Advisor for Technology and Internet Policy, reporting to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment. Manu serves as a key advisor to the Under Secretary on a variety of international economic matters, including technology and internet policy. At the State Department, Manu has reported directly to three U.S. Ambassadors – Ambassador Daniel Sepulveda, then Ambassador Terry Kramer, and then Ambassador Philip Verveer.
Manu has been an attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and a judicial law clerk to a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Manu has also been a staff member at the White House Counsel’s Office to the Honorable William J. Clinton, a legislative staff assistant at the U.S. Senate’s Judiciary Committee to the Honorable Patrick J. Leahy, and staff member to the Honorable Edward M. Kennedy of the United States Senate. Manu graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor from Michigan Law School.
